Power Smart Home Insulation Program : It Pays to Insulate! A well-insulated home uses less energy, meaning lower heating and cooling costs and less impact on the environment.

It's as easy as… 1 2 3! The Home Insulation Program offers information and rebates to homeowners who add insulation to their existing home. Eligible homeowners may receive up to 100 per cent of the insulation cost.

To qualify for the rebate: The homeowner must meet eligibility requirements ; and The insulation must meet Power Smart insulation requirements.

Power Smart Residential Loan covers the following measures: adding insulation, installing ventilation, sealing air leaks, replacing windows and doors, lighting, electrical service and wiring, and upgrading the efficiency of your existing furnace or water heater.

• Ineligible measure: central air conditioning,
• Borrow up to $7,500 per residence. The minimum loan is $500,
• No down payment is required. The maximum term is 60 months, and the minimum monthly payment is $15. Annual interest rate is fixed at 6.5% (O.A.C.).
• Monthly installments will be included on your energy bill.
